Yes, I have been absent. No, nothing is wrong. Yes, I have been keeping up with everything going in the world by way of entertainment, copyright and trademark law. And, I have missed you all! Thank you to those readers who wrote in, tweeted or otherwise let me know you miss the blog. To say I have had a lot of life changes in the past two months, is an understatement.
Let’s start with the first one. I am no longer a Mississippian, but now reside in Georgia. I moved two states away in order to take a job in Georgia. I returned to my broadcasting radio roots by now working in the General Counsel’s office for Cumulus Media. I work with a great group of people, am excited to go to work every day, and am enjoying getting to know all of the wonderful people in the markets across the country who are making great radio. They are my people.
With a big move comes all the things that go along with it – changing utilities, selling our home, finding a new home in Georgia, coordinating a move and packing up our life, saying goodbye to friends, and leaving everything I have known for the past 10 years. But, we did it! I could not have imagined doing this without The Hubs to serve as the brain, backbone and muscle to make sure everything came together.
As if that was not enough over the past two months, we found out we have our own little creative project in the works!
You know I had to make an announcement that looks like a movie poster. Yep, it’s true! There is a possible future intellectual property attorney, musician, filmmaker, broadcaster, doctor, veterinarian or whatever being created. Since I am more than an efficient person, we found out about both the move and the baby on the same day. My future employer has been excited for us too. I mean – let’s just turn our life completely upside down!
So, while I missed you all, I was truly at capacity the past two months. We are settling into a new normal for us and are enjoying the ride. Look for blog posts again on a regular basis. Thank you again to everyone who wrote and asked for content. Creating here is one of my favorite pastimes. Stay Tuned In!
